Euphoria OS ROM for Nexus 6! [Android 5.1.1] - Page 2

Want to make it faster with overclocking?

There’s actually no need.  I’ve tried every custom kernel out there and it actually hinders this particular ROM, it runs best without overclocking and a custom kernel.  This may be due to the fact that the developer of this ROM has really tailored to make it most efficient on its default stock frequencies.  Hell, it’s actually faster than any overclocked ROM/kernel combos I’ve tried.  I will keep lookin’ for sure but for now, you cannot go wrong with Euphoria ROM if you want the latest Android 5.1.1, performance, great battery life, and customization of CM12.  So, definitely check it out for this week(end) and do let me know what you think!

Download Euphoria OS ROM for Nexus 6

Download Android 5.1 Gapps (DO NOT USE Android 5.0/5.0.1/5.0.2 Gapps, you will force close on setup!!!)

You need a rooted Nexus 6, if you do not have a rooted Nexus 6, see How to Root Nexus 6 first!

For installation, simply reboot into recovery, format /system and /data, then install ROM, kernel, and Gapps.

Make sure to make a backup ROM first, then follow my guide on How to Install Custom ROM with TWRP if this is your first time installing a custom ROM.

FYI ROM download link is to old version (20150427 vs. 20150503). Anyway, Euphoria OS seems good on my N6 so far, but I’m coming from stock encrypted so not sure how much credit to give this ROM for performance gains. Battery life seems improved, and all the customization options are nice.

Home button does not return you to home screen automatically (Nexus 6)
