If you are looking for the fastest custom ROM, I would still say it is Euphoria OS ROM as the performance is simply beastly over other Android 5.1.1 custom ROMs out right now.
However, if you want to try another Android 5.1.1 ROM with some more customization, definitely check out CyanideL ROM, which I have been running on several of my other Android devices and runs well including the Nexus 6.
The CyanideL ROM features many awesome features (normally found in good AOSP ROMs) like custom system animations, custom navigation shortcuts, identicons, and many more including App Bar, App Circle Bar, Extended Desktop, Gesture Anywhere, LCD Density changer, PIE Control and lots more.
Although speed in Benchmarks aren’t high as Euphoria OS ROM (around 50K vs. 53K), the number of customization offered offsets it. If you are looking for a highly-customizable ROM with Android 5.1.1, definitely check this one out this week and do let me know what you think.
As a note, current custom kernels that I have tried (I’ve tried all of them) don’t seem to work well when overclocked (causing many reboots) with latest Android 5.1.1. When a good custom kernel comes out for Android 5.1.1, I will definitely hit you up so don’t forget to sign up for our Nexus 6 e-mail list.
